How to treat saline soil naturally in the UAE

White crust, burnt leaf edges, patchy germination. Why salts build up, and a natural programme to bring them down.

Saline soil causes leaf burn, poor germination and nutrient lock-up because excess salts pull water out of roots and block nutrient uptake. In the UAE, the natural fix is to leach salts where drainage allows, treat the soil with humic acids such as Evergreen Humus S-100 or Saprosoil, and rebuild organic matter with Eco-Premium — all from Al Ardh Alkhadra.

Signs of saline soil

  • White salt crust on the soil surface or around emitters.
  • Brown, burned leaf tips and edges that spread inward.
  • Poor or patchy germination across salty spots.
  • Stunted growth compared with the rest of the field.
  • Plants wilt despite watering because roots cannot pull water from salty soil.

Why UAE soils become saline

Most UAE irrigation water carries some salts, and the hot climate evaporates water faster than it is applied, pulling dissolved salts up to the surface and the root zone. Poor drainage and very low rainfall mean those salts are rarely washed away, so they accumulate season after season.

Natural saline soil treatment program

  1. Leach the salts. Where drainage allows, apply good-quality water in depth so salts move below the root zone.
  2. Apply humic acids through irrigation. Use Evergreen Humus S-100 (75% humic acid, 6% potassium, dissolves up to 99.5%) or Saprosoil. Humic and fulvic acids buffer salinity, improve soil structure and help roots exclude salts.
  3. Rebuild organic matter. Add Eco-Premium — 65% organic matter and free of salts — to improve water infiltration and raise the soil’s CEC, its nutrient-holding capacity.
  4. Mulch the surface. Mulch slows evaporation so fewer salts are pulled back up into the root zone.
  5. Avoid over-fertilizing. Fertilizer salts add to the salt load; correct any resulting deficiency with the UAE nutrient deficiency guide once the soil is being treated.

Frequently asked questions

Can saline soil be fixed naturally?

Yes, over time. A program of leaching plus humic acids (Evergreen Humus S-100, Saprosoil) and organic matter (Eco-Premium) steadily reduces salinity and rebuilds soil structure.

What is the best product for saline soil in the UAE?

Evergreen Humus S-100 or Saprosoil — their humic and fulvic acids reduce soil salinity and alkalinity — combined with Eco-Premium to add salt-free organic matter. All three are manufactured in the UAE by Al Ardh Alkhadra.

Why does fertilizer not work on my saline-soil plants?

Excess salts block the roots from taking up nutrients, and fertilizer adds yet more salts to the load. Treat the soil first, then correct remaining deficiencies using the nutrient deficiency guide.

How long does saline soil treatment take?

Improvement usually shows within weeks of starting humic-acid applications, while full reclamation takes place over seasons. Reapply humic acids and organic matter each season to keep salinity down.

When and How to Apply Soil Conditioners

A soil conditioner, additionally referred to as a soil improver, enables you to improve the overall quality and shape of your soil. via enhancing aeration, water retention, and nutrient stages, soil conditioners create a more favorable environment for vegetation to grow and thrive. Healthful soil is the foundation of successful farming. But, over time, soil can lose its structure, vitamins, and water-protecting capacity. That is where soil conditioners play an essential role. knowing how to observe soil conditioners can notably improve crop yield, soil fertility, and long–time period farm productivity. Exotic Fruits Farming for Export Markets

What are exotic fruits? A wide range of fruits from the tropics and subtropics are known as “exotic” fruits. The list of exotic fruits includes many fruits that are not widely spread in global markets, but that might be popular due to their looks, taste, and nutrition. These fruits are considered exotic because of their

Phosphorus is not the only nutrient that pH influences because these influences also occur to such beneficial nutrients as potassium, iron, zinc, and manganese.
